Mother’s Day Story Tile Workshop at High Five Books
Kids and caregivers are invited to join children’s book creator and ceramic artist Anna Alter for a hands-on workshop where you will design and illustrate your own ceramic tile, fired in time for Mother’s Day. Anna will demonstrate several surface design techniques that participants ages 8+ can use with clay (sgraffito, underglaze painting, stamping), and then guide you through creating your very own handmade tile to gift or hang on your wall. Weaving Words: Fiber Arts in Picture Books at The Eric Carle Museum
Illustrations from Anna’s chapter book The Purple Ribbon will be on display at The Eric Carle Museum as part of their show Weaving Words. The work will be on display from November 21, 2026, to May 2, 2027, more details to come!
