Book Ordering
Selling books in conjunction with an author visit is a great way to help students to make a personal connection with a book. Book sales can also provide a supplemental income to your school as publishers will offer you a discount.
Book selling works best when orders are placed and payment is made before Anna arrives. When she comes to your school she can then sign and personalize the books sold. You can download a book ordering form to send home with families here.
Book orders are made through a local book seller or a publisher directly. It is best to contact the book seller or publisher right away so you can learn how long the process will take. You will need to specify that you want to order books for an author visit and let them know the date by which you need them to arrive.
It is suggested that you place your order a minimum of four to six weeks advance, though sometimes publishers can accommodate rushed orders. Books ordered through a publisher that do not sell at the author event can usually be returned for credit, minus the shipping costs.
